EV4152 LA RECEZIONE DEL CODICE DEUTERONOMICO IN GEREMIA (A.Y. 2025/2026)

Il corso si propone di approfondire la recezione del codice deuteronomico (Dt 12–26) nel libro di Geremia (Ger). Secondo un’opinione diffusa, Ger si riferisce al codice deuteronomico come a un’istanza normativa dal punto di vista legale (e.g. Mastnjak 2016; 2018), capace di rendere ragione della caduta di Gerusalemme, del fallimento delle istituzioni religiose (profeti e sacerdoti) o politiche (re). Il riferimento al codice deuteronomico (e, più in generale, alle tradizioni legali del Pentateuco) avrebbe inoltre la funzione di sostenere l’autorità della predicazione profetica (e.g. Rom-Shiloni 2009; 2018). La percezione che il codice deuteronomico costituisca un’autorità fondativa per Ger, si accompagna alla constatazione che Ger talvolta rivede, discute (e.g. Fischer 2011; 2020; Otto 2009) e finanche sovverte questa stessa autorità.
Attraverso l’esegesi di passi scelti da Ger, si metteranno a fuoco le modalità di recezione del codice deuteronomico e gli obiettivi perseguiti. A partire da qui, si valuterà la possibilità che il dibattito si allarghi all’autorità della torah di Mosè, e alla sua funzione nel garantire un possibile nuovo inizio dopo l’esilio (cf. Markl 2014).
Durante il corso saranno messe a tema anche alcune questioni di carattere più generale: è possibile riconsiderare la natura e la funzione del codice deuteronomico, a partire dalla sua recezione in Ger? Siamo di fronte ad un testo legislativo oppure il codice ha il carattere di una esortazione sapienziale (e.g. von Rad 1953)? Si può parlare di una recezione scribale del codice (e più in generale dei testi legislativi) (e.g. Levinson 2008), oppure è opportuno considerare una trasmissione orale delle tradizioni legislative (e.g. Ska 2020)?
Oltre ai testi specifici che saranno trattati durante le lezioni, si richiede ai fini dell’esame la lettura del testo ebraico di Dt 29–30; Ger 26–29.
Obiettivi
Gli obiettivi principali del corso sono i seguenti: a) acquisire familiarità con il libro di Geremia, il libro del Deuteronomio e con le principali questioni ermeneutiche ed esegetiche inerenti ad essi; b) consentire allo studente di familiarizzare con le problematiche e le attenzioni metodologiche necessarie per lo studio delle relazioni tra testi, in particolare per lo studio delle interazioni tra Torah e Profeti; c) acquisire familiarità con lo studio di testi legislativi; d) acquisire familiarità con l’esegesi di testi geremiani.
Modalità
L’insegnamento si svolgerà mediante lezioni frontali. Gli studenti sono invitati a partecipare attivamente sia lavorando sulle questioni assegnate di volta in volta sia intervenendo con domande e commenti. Saranno messi a disposizione sussidi didattici in italiano. È in ogni caso necessario che lo studente prenda personalmente appunti durante le lezioni. La conoscenza dell’inglese è indispensabile per la lettura della bibliografia; quella dell’italiano per seguire le lezioni con profitto.
Valutazione
L’esame, della durata di due ore, sarà in forma scritta per tutti. L’esame sarà articolato nelle seguenti parti: a) traduzione di un testo non trattato durante le lezioni; b) una domanda inerente alle letture obbligatorie; c) domande sintetiche relative alle questioni introduttive presentate durante il corso; d) domande sintetiche inerenti a specifiche questioni di esegesi affrontate durante le lezioni; e) uno o due (a seconda della lunghezza) esercizi più ampi di esegesi, inerenti a uno (o due) testi trattati insieme. L’esame può essere scritto in italiano, inglese, tedesco, francese e spagnolo. È consentito l’uso di una Bibbia Ebraica, una concordanza e un dizionario di lingua moderna per chi non scrive nella propria lingua.
