Objectives: Assist students to understand better: 1. the material taught in the first year; 2. different theological approaches; 3. research and theological writing according to the norms of the University and by use of its Library (User Education).
Learning outcomes: The students will understand: 1. the discipline of theology; 2. Church teaching on the material covered; 3. different theological approaches; 4. theological research and writing.
Contents: I semester – Role of theology, Fundamental Theology, Divine Revelation, Magisterium, and Christology. II semester – Different theological approaches and Trinitarian Theology.
Methodology : Students will write a weekly one-page paper on the assigned reading and engage in class discussion. Each student will present one of the weekly topics as an introduction to the class discussion. Students will write a research paper on a topic approved by the Professor (II semester).
Means of evaluation: I semester: Weekly papers, class presentation and participation in discussions. II semester: The same means apply with the addition of the research paper and its adherence to University norms.
