Description
This graduate seminar brings together scholars and students from various universities, offering a forum of study and debate on topics relating to archaeology and the Bible. Each year, the international team proposes a monographic topic, which for 2025 will be the Song of Songs.
Objectives
The course aims to engage the students in interdisciplinary debate with scholars and students from partner universities, proving a practical forum to acquire critical skills on both biblical and archaeological material.
Method
The seminar consists of ten two-hour sessions that are held online, with the partner institutions. The first half consists of presentations by invited academics, the second is dedicated to discussion in small groups.
Evaluation
Assessment will consist of a chapter review from the suggested readings (40%), and a short paper on a topic agreed with the lecturer (60%).
Essential reading
Bibliography for each session will be provided by different speakers.
