Isaac Moreno Sanz, La intertextualidad: usos y funciones en el evangelio de Lucas

Abstract - Luke’s relationship to the Old Testament has been discussed in various pub-lications in recent decades. Many of these approaches have contributed to the understanding of the Lucan use of Israel’s Scriptures, but none individually is able to provide a full description of the Lucan hermeneutic. This study will presents the various forms of intertextual references, which are not limited to quotations, allusions and echoes, but other forms of references usually ne­glected, such as references to proper names, must be considered. Furthermore, this paper aims to deepen the use of intertextual connections, delving also into the different functions of intertextuality in Luke’s Gospel. All this shows the communicative impact of a continuous dialogue between Old and New Testament and the way in which Luke writes the “today” of salvation with words from the past.

Alessandro Pagliari, I richiami di Mosè all’episodio degli esploratori: mere ripetizioni o volute reinterpretazioni della vicenda? Strategie narrative e comunicative in Nm 32,8-13; Dt 1,19-46 e Dt 9,23

Abstract - The retelling of the scouts’ account in three discourses of Moses (Num 32:8- 13; Deut 1:19-46; Deut 9:23) present numerous variations from the original narrative (Num 13‒14), and Moses’ discourses also differ among themselves. By means of a narrative and pragmatic approach to these texts, this article sheds light on the communicative strategy carried out by the speaker, the pur­pose he intends to achieve, and the importance of said communication for the development of the narrative. Thus, it emerges that those multiple differing references to a single event in the past do not constitute mere repetitions but deliberate reinterpretations, each with its own perlocutionary effect.

Magdalena M. Jóźwiak, Pseudo-Paulinus, or de facto Adrevald of Fleury (9th century) and his biblical exegesis based on the example of De benedictionibus Patriarcharum

Abstract - The purpose of this article is to assess the exegetical value of the work entitled De benedictionibus Patriarcharum (cf. PL 20, 715 B-732 B), which came from the pen of an author whose name has been consigned to the abyss of forgotten authors for centuries. Analysis of the commentary made it possible, based on two philological tropes (praedux; humanatus), to question the authorship of the text. Analysis of the text from an exegetical angle, on the other hand, made it possible to draw the following conclusions: (1) Adrevald’s commentary in relation to other texts commenting on Genesis 49 is decidedly more concise; (2) The medieval exegete prefers both literal and allegorical interpretations; (3) The commentator reads Genesis 49 according to the model of typical exegesis, hence the Patriarchs are a “type” of Jesus Christ, and their “blessing” found its apogee in the face of salvific events; (4) Amongst the sources of the commentary, we should enumerate: St. Ambrose of Milan, Rufinus of Aquileia, Josephus Flavius and St. Jerome of Stridon, whom Adrevald cites by name twice, and whose exegetical authority he holds in high esteem, which, however, does not prevent him from reading it critically and casting doubt once on the deductions of the author of the Vulgate.

Eugénio Lopes, Virtude e Crescimento Moral. No Pensamento de Dietrich von Hildebrand

Abstract - Throughout his life, Dietrich von Hildebrand studied various philosophical arguments. One of them was the theme of values, particularly virtue, and its relationship to morality. The theme of virtue (and its relationship to morality) is found in several of his works. Therefore, in this article, I intend to gather this information and analyze the concept of virtue in his thought. At the same time, I will also try to develop some of his arguments, especially concerning this topic. To achieve this, I will begin by distinguishing between the two types of experience of the human person. I will then analyze the different categories of motivation, particularly values, according to Hildebrand. I will then analyze the different types of values, particularly moral values, and their hierarchy. Next, I will examine the concepts of fundamental moral position, fundamental moral intention, and fundamental moral attitude, while relating them to virtue in Hildebrand’s thought. Next, according to Hildebrand, I’ll show what virtue consists of and how it differs from other realities with which it can be confused. Finally, I will analyze some external factors that can condition the acquisition of virtue.

Rolf Kühn, Inkarnation als „Fleischwerdung“. Zur phänomenologischen Materialität von Leiblichkeit und Christologie

Abstract - The Christological attempts to define the incarnation of God found an expression in the Christocentrism of modernity, which sought to combine the singularity of this event with the universal claim to the truth of human and cosmic reality. Such transcendentalism reveals a theological transition, which philosophically represents a transition, insofar as this incarnation led to phenomenological analyses in which absolute appearance and bodily concretion are brought together as an original possibility of revelation. This new constellation in the relationship between philosophy/theology and origin/appearance since German idealism is taken up with the help of current studies by Falque, Gilbert, Holzer, Remmel etc., in order to ultimately understand the self-affective materiality as the original reality of the incarnation with the life-phenomenological immanence analysis of our corporeality as ‘primordial flesh’ according to Henry, which is always concretely presupposed in all subjective and ecstatic reference.

Armando Pego Puigbó, Conciencia novelesca y liturgia

Abstract - The word liturgy is etymologically linked to the political and ethical dimension that religious worship possesses. This article aims at its articulations with the poetic scope that the representation of the characters’ consciousness has acquired in both modernist and postmodernist narrative. Key categories of theological thought (fall, redemption, eschatology) are brought into play to explore the meaning built by the linguistic and imaginary inquiry of human beings into their existential reality. Concepts such as chronoclasm and atopy are applied to try to explain the figurative complexity that the perception and celebration of the death and resurrection of the human image acquire. Two recent novels – Septology by Jon Fosse and Laurus by Evgueni Vodolazkin – serve to try to exemplify this return of the liturgical as an expression of a new form of communion in the act of reading.

Hoikang Jung S.I, Análisis de la pobreza ignaciana a la luz de la Contemplación para alcanzar amor (EE 230-237). Revisión del verbo teológico-espiritual “alcanzar”

Abstract - Ignatius of Loyola, while studying theology in Paris, writes to his acquaintance Inés Pascual to ask for money for his studies. He uses the word “alcanzar (to attain)” to describe his poverty, and this verb is also used in the Contemplation to attain love, the final four-week exercise of the Spiritual Exercises. Based on this connection, we will analyze the use of the term “alcanzar” in Ignatius’ letters and then, with the resulting analysis we will examine characteristic of Ignatian poverty in this Contemplation: the relationship between creatures and God, humility and the following of the poor and humble Christ, and the apostolic character of poverty are identified.

Abstract – We want to show how the liturgical celebration and the spiritual life of the believer are not two different ways to achieve the same result. The danger of considering the liturgical sacramental activity as secondary when the interior life reaches a high level is a fact, but also the other way around: taking meditation and contemplation, that is, the interior disposition, not seriously because one is living a very participative and communitarian liturgical celebration. What it is rather a matter of integrating both dimensions of the Christian faith, highlighting the points where far from separating they complement each other.
