XP2038  HOW TO PROCEED IN CASE OF ABUSE: AN OVERVIEW ON DIFFERENT CONTEXTS (A.Y. 2026/2027)

Objectives: The course will teach students how to draft an intervention/action plan in case of abuse in different contexts such as schools, workplaces, dioceses/parishes, hospitals, church and religious communities, and sports. It will also bring the students to reflect on communication in case of abuses crises in institutions.

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, the students will be able to draft a plan to establish what to do practically in cases of abuse, based on specific contexts.

Content: Knowledge of the dynamic of the contexts where abuse can happen: schools, workplaces, hospitals, church and religious communities; developing proactive attitudes to embody in cases of abuses in the indicated contexts; knowledge of the right way to behave toward the people involved in those institutions/organizations.

Methodology: The course will combine lectures, readings, and seminar discussion.

Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation and a written paper.
