Objectives: The course will introduce the students to the concept of professional (and pastoral) supervision and its importance in institutions/organizations, in order to prevent possible abuses.
Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, the students will be able to understand the importance of recognizing safeguarding fatigue in their experience and to recognize the purpose of supervision and circumstances in which it is necessary.
Content : Importance of supervision and accompaniment; meaning of personal (and pastoral) assistance; its role in preventing safeguarding fatigue and attending to the spiritual dimension.
Methodology: The course will combine lectures, readings, and seminar discussion.
Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation and written papers.
It will be indicated at the beginning of the course.
