Objectives: The ownership and management of the Church’s temporal goods constitute an important aspect of the Church and its communion and mission. The ecclesiology of the Church integrates the communion of all the baptized in the body of Christ with all the human dimensions of life, such as the building of local communities, and the areas of property, goods and finances. While the Church understands its mission as chiefly spiritual, this mission also embraces all the temporal aspects of human life. The management of the Church’s temporal goods can have a huge impact on its credibility, the communion of its members, and its mission. This course aims to explore the canonical requirements for a valid, licit and efficient administration of the Church’s temporal goods or properties.

Contents: This course provides necessary canonical apparatus for all those who are involved in the acquisition, retention, administration and alienation of the Church’s temporal goods.

Methodology: Frontal lectures.

Means of evalution: Class participation and final exam.
