Double Degree

Thanks to agreements made between some Italian State Universities and the Pontifical Gregorian University, a path to obtain a double degree in Philosophy is now available. Students who choose this path, and are deemed eligible, can simultaneously obtain a master's degree in Philosophy (Italian Educational Qualification LM78), awarded by the Italian partner university, and a licentiate in Philosophy, awarded by the Pontifical Gregorian University.


Double degree / Agreement with the University of Perugia

Thanks to the agreement signed on January 22, 2024, between the University of Perugia and the Pontifical Gregorian University, a double degree programme in Philosophy is now available: eligible students who choose this programme can simultaneously obtain a master's degree in Philosophy (LM78), awarded by the University of Perugia, and a licentiate in Philosophy, awarded by the Pontifical Gregorian University.

To this end, students must obtain a minimum of 30 credits (ECTS) and a maximum of 45 credits (ECTS) from the partner institution, based on a personalised programme developed in consultation with the Programme Coordinator. - Double degree / Agreement with the University of Salento

Thanks to the agreement signed on June 20, 2025, between the University of Salento and the Pontifical Gregorian University, a double degree programme in Philosophy is now available: eligible students who choose this programme can simultaneously obtain a master's degree in philosophy (LM78), awarded by the University of Salento, and a licentiate in philosophy, awarded by the Pontifical Gregorian University.

To this end, students must earn 60 credits (ECTS) at the partner institution ("mobility year"), based on a personalised programme developed in consultation with the Program Coordinator.
