The Diploma in Christian and Medieval Antiquities aims to provide a solid basic preparation for those who wish to embark on historical, art-historical and archaeological studies. The course of study is particularly dedicated to the knowledge and study of the history of the Church of Rome, from its origins to the Middle Ages, taking advantage of the extraordinary opportunity to be at the centre of the Orbis christianus, in the city that was the seat of the Successor of Peter.
To be eligible for the Diploma, one must hold possession of a Baccalaureate or Bachelor's degree (three-year) degree a satisfactory understanding of the Latin language and one of the following languages, in addition to
Italian: French, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
The university offers the course free of charge of Latin language to those who do not pass the verification.

The final paper is produced under the direction of one of the Diploma Lecturers. It must not be less than 20 pages (52,500 characters, including spaces) and more than 25, excluding bibliography and historical or artistic documentation (documents, images, plans).
Students are required to choose two of the optional courses offered for a total of 6 ECTS
Classroom lessons with image projections, educational visits to monuments and sites of Christian and medieval Rome, and practical exercises are planned.

The degree of Diploma in Christian and Medieval Antiquities is earned after passing all the exams and receiving a positive evaluation of the Final Elaborate.
