Tra liturgia gioiosa e dramma del male. Riflessione interdisciplinare sull'Apocalisse

The symposium is intended to be the first of a series of annual meetings in honour and memory of Fr. Ugo Vanni, a teacher for many of us and author of countless theological studies that are still fruitful and topical, and which could open up interesting reflections for Theology and the Church. The first meeting, scheduled for the afternoon of Monday 11 November, in the Aula Magna of the Biblical Institute, will be dedicated to the Apocalypse and the Church. As Fr. Ugo Vanni liked to repeat, ‘You cannot understand the Church without the Apocalypse’, to which we can add, the World. The comprehension of the last book of Holy Scripture reveals to us the mystery of God, unlocks and deciphers the enigma of evil, orients the path of the Church, delineates the way to the Kingdom and unmasks the misguided path of the anti-kingdom.

The planned lectures embrace different areas of research from theology and the Bible to art and history, showing the richness of the biblical apocalyptic text.
