The Ignatian Method of Discernment and the Experience of the Synodal Assembly

Through the apostolic letter Pastoralis officii, Pope Paul III approved the text of the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola on 31 July 1548. The year 2023 marks its 475 anniversary. Currently, we are in the midst of the Synod on Synodality, which will conclude with its second session in October 2024. The conferences of  “Spiritual Exercises and Synodality” aim to reflect on the synodal way of the Church and how the spirituality of the Exercises can shed light over the synodal way of being the Church.
