"Simone di Giovanni, mi sei amico?" L'amicizia nei due testamenti

Through the reading and exegesis of some texts of the Old and New Testaments, friendship is presented as the culmination of human relationality, the first fruits of the eschatological reality of the Kingdom: «He loved him as himself» (1Sam 18,1); «You shall love your neighbor as yourself» (Lv 19,18; Mc 12,31). A friend is another-self; friends carry within themselves the victory over solitude and constitute the first expression of ecclesiality. The Course thus offers a global vision of friendship in the Christian Scriptures, grasping its theological, anthropological, and ecclesial depth
