- Significato cristiano di un'opera d'arte. Rinascimento e Barocco
This book refers specifically to modern Christian art from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. The goal of every scholar and art lover in general should be to find the “original meaning” of a work of art, especially if it is Christian, freeing it from any further misleading and purely subjective interpretations. The questions that need to be asked for an exhaustive study and the related fundamental aspects are explained in succession, always including the underlying Christian dimension at every step. It concludes with a practical demonstration, referring to the specific case of Raphael's altarpiece of the Madonna di Foligno in the Vatican Museums (1511-12).
