- Pope Francis, Global Catholicism and International Politics in a Time of War
On Friday, June 7th, Prof. Massimo Faggioli will give a keynote lecture on "Pope Francis, Global Catholicism and International Politics in a Time of War." Prof. Faggioli is full professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Villanova University (USA) and a leading scholar of Vatican II and Global Catholicism. He has a column in La Croix International and is a contributing writer for Commonweal magazine and Il Regno. His books and articles have been published in more than ten languages. He will be joined in conversation by Prof. Kristina Stoeckl of LUISS University and Michael Driessen of John Cabot University. The lecture is part of a series of seminars, public events and workshops of the 2024 edition of the Rome Summer Seminars on Religion and Global Politics.
