- L'ATTENZIONE IN SIMONE WEIL
Simone Weil (1909-1943) French philosopher and mystic, was born into a family of Jewish descent. Despite her agnostic upbringing, after studying philosophy and various travel and factory work experiences, she gradually developed a keen interest in the spiritual dimension of existence. Dramatic concepts emerge along his intellectual journey, such as that for which reality is characterized by the “impossibility” of making life and thought coexist harmoniously; or the notion of “decreation,” God's act of retraction through which he creates and loves man as an absence of being; or attention understood as “the rarest and purest form of generosity.”
In this online workshop we will analyze and discuss attention in Weil's thought from the perspective of its Kabbalistic, philosophical-political and legal influences.
