La chiesa e l'aiuto agli esiliati in Francia e in Spagna

Incontro in occasione del ciclo: Portogallo e Papato. I 500 anni della nunziatura a Lisbona (1527-2027)

"During the pontificate of Pius XII, the sensitive issue of European refugees led the Holy See to commit itself to their relief, particularly in Spain and France. By focusing on the period between 1939 and 1958, this study seeks to understand how the deployment of resources and the exchange of ideas between Madrid, Paris, Washington and Rome proved decisive in the reception, rescue and assistance of those who were forced to flee."
