Juan Pablo Vizcardo y Guzmán Heraldo de la Independencia de América Latina

On Monday, February 10, 2025 at 10 a.m., at the Senate Hall of the Gregorian University, a will hold a Round Table on the life and work of the Forerunner of Independence of Latin America. Latin America, Juan Pablo Vizcardo y Guzmán.

The speakers will be Dr. Wenceslao Soto SJ, of the Archivum Historicum Societatis Iesu, the Professor Natalia Sobrevilla Perea and Professor José Demetrio De la Puente Brunque, both from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Professor Paul Oberholzer, director of the Department of the Cultural Heritage of the Church, will chair the panel discussion and will be accompanied by Peru's Ambassador to the Holy See, Luis Chuquihuara Chil.

Prof. Paul Oberholzer will introduce the theme of the panel discussion, while each of the professors invited will make an approximately 20-minute presentation on different aspects of the life and 'work of the Forerunner of Independence, Juan Pablo Vizcardo y Guzmán.

History and humanities teachers and university students are invited to participate with the purpose ofdiscuss, clarify and comment on different aspects of the life of the Herald of Independence Latin America.
The Roundtable discussion will last from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
