John Henry Newman: Teologo Fondamentale?

A few months before the historic proclamation of St John Henry Newman as a Doctor of the Church (1 November 2025), the Department of Fundamental Theology is promoting a day of reflection to investigate the scientific legacy of the new Doctor. In many respects, Newman can be considered the first truly “fundamental” theologian to receive such universal recognition. Professor Kenneth L. Parker, one of the world's leading experts on Newmanian thought, will lead the proceedings by analysing how Newman offers decisive answers to the challenges of contemporary theology.
