IS THERE A JUST WAR? EUROPEAN VALUES IN TIMES OF AGGRESSION

A day of study and reflection will be held next October 25 at the Pontifical Gregorian University entitled Does a Just War Exist? European Values in Times of Aggression.

It is an initiative of European Future Talks (Bad St. Leonhard) in collaboration with COMECE (Commission of the Bishops' Conferences of the European Union) and the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome) and brings together personalities not only from the academic world, but also from institutions such as the European Parliament and the Italian Episcopate.

Among the topics under discussion will be the following: the right to defense and the rule of law in times of war; whether war can be a remedy against dictatorship, terror and crimes against humanity; the protection of human dignity during war; and how to ensure sustainable justice after war.

In addition to the academic communities in Rome, representatives of the press and general public are cordially invited to attend the proceedings.
