IL DIRITTO D'ASILO

The Migrantes Foundation, within its studies on human mobility, has long devoted a specific volume to the world of asylum seekers and international protection. The Report 2024 is entitled “Peoples on the move... without the right to asylum.” And the Pontifical Gregorian University has been hosting its first presentation for a few years now.

The volume takes a snapshot of the situation of the right to asylum and of people forced to flee around the world, in Europe and in Italy.  Trying to render the state of the art, it gives as much voice as possible to refugees and those who accompany them in pieces of their difficult journey.

The Report gives an account of normative changes and the perspective of the Social Doctrine of the Church, not giving up-despite the framework of ever-increasing compression of the rights of asylum seekers and refugees-to open perspectives and point out experiences that give hope.
