This is the first of the six volumus of the Urbi et Orbi message pronounced by John Paul I - Albino Luciani (1912-1978) the day after his election on 27 August 1978, in which the newly elected pontiff set out his programme for his pontificate.

After two Study Days at the Pontifical Gregorian University dedicated to the sources of the Magisterium of John Paul I - the first on the papers of his private Archive - APAL (May 2022) and the second on his personal Library (November 2023) - the John Paul I Foundation in collaboration with the Pontifical Gregorian University continues its scientific and research activity focusing on the six volumus of its programme, with a cycle of annual thematic meetings. Following the sequence given by John Paul I, the first of the six conferences will focus on the Second Vatican Council, and from the Lucian perspective will be explored her assumptions, her message and her implementation in her dioceses, up to the Jubilee year of 1975.
