- FEDE, RAGIONE, CULTURA, IDEOLOGIE. Un quarto di secolo dall'enciclica "Fides et ratio"
The symposium “Faith, reason, culture, ideologies. A quarter of a century after the encyclical Fides et ratio” is organized as part of the Days of St. John Paul II at the Pontifical Universities of Rome. The Days, dedicated to the theme “Faith and Reason in the Thought of John Paul II”, are an invitation to draw wisdom creatively from the legacy of the pontificate of Karol Wojtyła. The question of the encounter and sometimes the clash, between faith and reason, is even more burning today than it was a quarter of a century ago. The speakers will propose interdisciplinary reflections not so much on the encyclical Fides et ratio, but on its basis. They will try to outline answers to the question: How can truth be discovered in the dialogue between faith, reason, culture and the natural sciences in the face of the threats posed by various ideologies?
