As part of the course History of Modern Christian Art at the Department of Cultural Heritage of the FACULTY OF HISTORY AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE CHURCH, Lydia Salviucci organizes the series Dialogues of Christian Art. Renaissance and Baroque. In Academic Year 2024-2025 the Dialogues are dedicated to the art of the Renaissance:

Carmelites and art in the 15th century: the particular example of Filippo Lippi in dialogue with GIOVANNI GROSSO O.CARM., Dean of the Institutum Carmelitanum, Rome.

Monday, May 12

The Hall of Constantine: from Leo X to Sixtus V. Raphael-Giulio Romano-Tommaso Laureti between art and faith. in dialogue with FABRIZIO BIFERALI, Curator of the Department for the Art of the 15th-16th Centuries of the Vatican Museums.

This will be followed by a talk by Master Restorer FABIO PIACENTINI on the restoration work in the Hall of Constantine.
