Deontologia del giornalismo e la verità pubblica e pubblicata nel tempo dell'IA

The seminar addresses the relationship between ethics, professional conduct, and information in the era of artificial intelligence. It will explore the concepts of public truth and published truth, source verification, editorial responsibility, the role of digital platforms, and the anthropological and social implications of contemporary communication, also in light of the Encyclical Magnifica Humanitas.

The event aims to mark the beginning of a reflection that would lead to the drafting of an international code of ethics in October 2027. Furthermore, it seeks to provide journalists with cultural and professional tools to interpret the transformations of digital communication and artificial intelligence.

The objectives are to strengthen knowledge of the professional code of ethics, promote a culture of source verification, editorial responsibility, and protection of human dignity, fostering dialogue among academia, institutions, and media professionals.
