Assicurare i diritti umani, personali e sociali, economici...

Caring for the weakest and most fragile in society has always been a sign of the good evolution of a civilisation, ever since anthropologist Margaret Mead identified the signs of this in the archaeological finding of the healing of a broken femur. However, it is not something that can be taken for granted: central governments do not always set up public policies to protect and promote people, whether in need or simply citizens belonging to a people. Religious welfare often complements or replaces public welfare where it is lacking or ineffective, thus providing for the construction of the common good as a fundamental socio-political actor, among others.
This conference will attempt to focus on this issue by analysing some facets of the theme (health, immigration, the elderly, people subjected to violence, etc.) at a time in history when these rights, which have been painstakingly acquired, unfortunately seem to be dissolving in the face of belligerent and destructive claims.
