Arquivos Romanos para História Religiosa de Portugal

The first session of the seminar will be held on 18 June 2024 (from 2.30pm to 5pm Lisbon time), open to all interested parties, with prior registration on the appropriate form for participation by videoconference (Zoom). This is an initiative of the Centro de Estudos de História Religiosa da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP-CEHR), with the collaboration of the Pontificia Università Gregoriana (PUG), the Pontificio Comitato di Scienze Storiche and the Instituto Português de Santo António em Roma (IPSAR).

It has three objectives:

• 1. to foster a network of researchers working on the archives of the Catholic Church based in Rome;
• 2. to present and discuss ongoing research into the religious history of Portugal, based on the exploration of these archives;
• 3. to promote comparative reflection on the development of Portuguese historiography in the field of religious history in general.
