On the morning of Monday 28 April, a Mass in suffrage of the Holy Father Francis was celebrated in the quadriporticus of the Central Palace of the Pontifical Gregorian University. The Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Sunny Kokkaravalayil, Vice Rector of the Gregoriana and President of the Pontifical Oriental Institute, was widely attended by students, professors and administrative staff. Concluding his homily, Fr. Kokkaravalayil invoked "the intercession of Pope Francis, so that we can be credible witnesses of that hope that he himself has tried to keep lit in the heart of the world".
