On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in the refectory of the Jesuit Community, Rector Fr. Mark Lewis, SJ, awarded Cardinal Luis Ladaria the St. Ignatius Medal of the Gregorian University Foundation for his thirty years of teaching at the Pontificial Gregorian Gregorian and his distinguished subsequent career.

The St. Ignatius Medal of the Gregorian University Foundation honors Catholics, religious, and lay people, who have served the Church, offering support in the formation of its future leaders with their many talents and resources, as desired by Saint Ignatius.
