On the occasion of the Conclave, the Historical Archive of the Pontifical Gregorian University exhibits for a few days at the main entrance of the University the register of ballots of the conclave that took place three centuries ago and ended with the election of Benedict XIII. Together with the handwritten register, dating back to the year 1724, some facsimiles of the ancient ballot papers are presented, as well as explanatory captions.
On the double-sided panel facing the shrine, further information is given. The poster facing the entrance in addition to the title has a short quotation from a letter of 1621 to Cardinal Roberto Bellarmino (to read the full text in Italian, follow this link). The poster facing the theca instead contains some reproductions and a graphic elaboration of the contents of the manuscript on display.
