The Holy Mass for the Inauguration of the 2026–2027 Academic Year will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 6, at 4:30 p.m., at the Basilica of Sant’Andrea della Valle on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. To allow the entire university community to participate, afternoon classes will be suspended.

All priests who wish to do so may concelebrate, bringing a white alb and stole.

The solemn Eucharistic celebration, animated by the Pontifical Mexican College, will begin with the invocation of the Holy Spirit and the singing of the hymn “Veni Creator Spiritus.” The celebration will conclude with the inaugural address by the Rector, Fr. Mark Lewis, S.J., and the opening formula for the 476th academic year since the founding of the Roman College.
