On May 23, 2025, the University Senate approved the text of the General Regulations of the Pontifical Gregorian University, which will come into force on June 9, 2025, the day of its publication. The text of the General Regulations of the Pontifical Gregorian University is available on the University website, in the "Statutes, rules and regulations" section.

With the entry into force of this General Regulation, the previous one, approved by the Board of Directors on March 17, 2020 and amended on February 14, 2023, is repealed.

For all matters on which the General Regulations of the Pontifical Gregorian University refer to other normative texts in the process of revision or drafting, the Norms and practices regulated by the Statutes, Regulations and Norms of the Pontifical Biblical Institute and the Pontifical Oriental Institute, and of the academic units of the Collegium Maximum, will remain in force on a transitional basis, unless they are contrary to the General Statutes and the General Regulations of the Pontifical Gregorian University.
